| Celebrating the anniversary of Brown Education In 1954 the black-robed ''Supreme Court'' had a psychic vision that reinterpreted the intent of the White Founding Fathers to racially integrate all public schools. This dictate was then enforced by federal troops against the majority of Americans. |

![]() Harold Wright Jr. Tacoma school principal accused of rape TACOMA, Wash. - A middle school principal has been accused in the rape of a woman at an after-hours party three years ago. Harold Wright Jr., 35, of Puyallup, is scheduled to be arraigned Friday in Pierce County Superior Court on a charge of second-degree rape and indecent liberties. He was placed on administrative leave from Baker Middle School last week. OH NO! NOT THE DREADED ADMINISTRATIVE LEAVE! According to charging papers, a woman accused Wright and two other men of raping her at an after-hours party on Jan. 31, 2004. She was 19 at the time. Jerry McClurkin Jr., and Ritchie Deshun Carter, are awaiting trial March 21 on charges of second-degree rape. Video District: Wright has been a highly regarded principal The woman said she and two friends were at a bar where Wright, his brother and two other men invited them to McClurkin's house, court papers stated. She later told investigators that at least two of the men took her into a bathroom and took turns having sex with her, but it was too dark for her to identify them, charging papers said. The woman went to a hospital for a sexual assault examination, and state crime lab reports matched DNA evidence with samples from Carter and Wright, court papers said. The Tacoma School District says Wright has been a highly regarded principal. "He's been a great principal and really helped turn this school around and raised test scores," said spokeswoman Patti Holmgren. Obviously, somebody needs to give this nigger a break since he's such a great guy. "I met him before a couple of times and he seems to be a real down to earth type of person, seemed to care about the kids," said parent Carlos Jimenez. Wright's attorney tells KING 5 "the new evidence is not inconsistent with many statements that have existed for almost two years…" "He did not have sexual intercourse with this woman and we are unaware of any evidence to suggest he did..." "Unfortunately because he is a public official his reputation will be greatly impacted before anyone hears all of the evidence ... evidence which we believe will demonstrate his to here innocence." The district admits that it put Wright on leave three years ago when the allegations first surfaced but when no charges were filed he was allowed to come back to work and now that a charge has been filed in this case, he is on paid administrative leave. Wright will make his first court appearance on the charge on Friday. Two other men were charged with rape in the case back in June, and they will go to trial later this year |

No jail time for former principal convicted of rape of student
![]() Harold Wright Jr. TACOMA, Wash. -- A former Tacoma middle school principal who was convicted in the rape of a former student will not serve any jail time. A judge on Friday sentenced Harold Wright Jr. to six months in jail, then immediately stayed the sentenced, which allows Wright to remain free while he appeals. Wright and another man, Richy Carter, was convicted of raping a 19-year-old girl at a party in January of 2004, but Wright maintained his innocence throughout the trial and testified he had no sexual contact with the victim. "I have never harmed anyone I've only worked hard to support people throughout anything. I am, I am hurt that these allegations are here," he said. Carter testified he had consensual sex with the woman. The victim, now 23, attended Spanaway Lake High School while Wright worked there as an assistant principal before he took a job at Baker Middle School in Tacoma. Albrecht said the district won't be able to get back the $48,068 it paid Wright while he was on administrative leave from Feb. 9 because of his contract. ' The district has filed a complaint against Wright with the state Office of Professional Practices, which may result in revoking his teaching and administrative credentials. While state law calls for immediate revocation of a teaching certificate for certain crimes involving children, revocation is not automatic for crimes involving adults. |
