Niglet apparently starved and beaten to death. Had wounds in "various stages of healing" so beatings were probably routine. Daughters seem to be fine. Sistahood is powaful!

ARLINGTON - Neighbors could not recall ever seeing Davontae Williams play with his younger sisters or other children.

The 9-year-old had not been to school since the first grade, records show.

His grim isolation ended Monday.

Police said they believe that Davontae was, at times, put in restraints or locked in a pantry, based on his injuries and witnesses' statements. Officers described the boy's body as malnourished and underdeveloped.

"There were a number of bruises and cuts in various stages of healing that indicated this had been going on for quite some time," Sgt. Mark Simpso
n said. "For the most part, he was restrained in the apartment. And it appears he was underfed and dehydrated."

Responding to his mother's 911 call, police found Davontae's lifeless body covered in bruises and cuts. Marcella L. Williams, 23, and her partner, Lisa Ann Coleman, 28, were arrested on suspicion of injury to a child -- a first-degree felony punishable by up to life in prison.

Child Protective Services took custody of Davontae's siblings, said Marissa Gonzales, the agency's spokeswoman said.

CPS officials said they would release information Tuesday on previous investigations on the family.

"We are trying to find out what happened and how it happened," Gonzales said. "We're making sure the girls are safe and we will be interviewing them at some point."

About 7:55 a.m. Monday, Marcella Williams called 911 on a cellphone to report her son had been ill and had stopped breathing. She made the call from the Arbors apartments in the 1000 block of East Arkansas Lane
.

"He's not breathing, can you please get somebody here," she shouted to the 911 operator. The call disconnected while the operator tried to give Williams instruction on CPR.

Paramedics pronounced Davontae dead at the scene.

Neighbors said they saw the boy's his two sisters frequently playing outside and on their second-story balcony but had never seen Davontae.

Davontae was a student in the Fort Worth school district from October 2000 until April 2001, according to a district official.

At the time schools were told he was going to be enrolled in another school, said Lisa Silvia, who handles public information requests for the district. Police could find no records to indicate Davontae was ever enrolled again.

The boy's maternal aunt, LaTravier Williams, 27, of Fort Worth was emotionally distraught Monday. She said Davontae was healthy the last time she visited the apartments two or three months ago.

"I talked to my sister this morning and she told me my nephew had a cold or flu or som
ething," she said outside the apartment while officers collected evidence. "I don't believe my sister did anything. I'm just worried about what's going to happen to my two nieces."

Arlington woman guilty in starvation death case

A Tarrant County jury found an Arlington woman guilty Monday in the 2004 starvation death of a 9-year-old boy.

The jury deliberated for less than an hour before finding Lisa Coleman guilty on charges of capital murder and injury to a child. Prosecutors said at the trial's opening that the 30-year-old woman beat, tied up, neglected and eventually starved Davontae Williams.

I've recently had the opportunity to interact with the females of this species on a daily and repeated basis for the first time in my life and I've quickly com
e to the conclusion that although it is the males of this race that commit a vast majority of the the crimes and general TNB, the root cause for this species degenerate behavior lies in the low I.Q. and extremely poor maternal instincts of the females. The females that I have encountered are hateful and combative to the point of psychosis and seem to be completely unaware that they are the cause for the majority of their own problems.

As the primary care givers in their species family make-up, they are responsible for the creation of these degenerate urban crime coons that roam our cities today. As usually the only care givers they pass this disfunctional attitude to their offsping. They seem fixated one their hatred for men and specifically white men as the cause for all of their problems. Their hatred for males culminates in behavior such as stated in this article.

Mother gets life sentence

The mother who starved her 9-year-old son to death in her east Arlington apartment has pleaded guilty to capital murder and has been sentenced to life in prison.

Marcella Williams, 25, will have to spend at least 40 years in prison before she is eligible for parole. Williams would have faced the death penalty if a Tarrant County jury had found her guilty of capital murder, prosecutor Mitch Poe said Tuesday.

Poe said Williams' attorney approached his office about a plea agreement. Williams' trial was set to begin next month.

"Her attorney said Williams understood that she will likely die in prison," Poe said. "Under the circumstances, this is the best outcome."

Davontae Williams' body was found in his mother's home July 26, 2004. He had been beaten, bound and starved in the months leading to his death, authorities said. He was 44.5 inches tall and weighed 35.8 pounds when he died.

Marcella Williams and her live-in girlfriend, Lisa Ann Coleman, were arrested soon after his death.

In June, a jury convicted Coleman, 30, of capital murder and sentenced her to die for her role in Davontae's death.

Child Protective Services investigated the family in 1999 and put Davontae and his younger sister in foster care after finding that Coleman had physically abused him.

Woman On Death Row Loses Appeal

Lisa Ann Coleman Starved Child To Death
POSTED: Wednesday, December 9, 2009

Quote:
HOUSTON -- The Texas Court of Criminal Appeals has upheld the conviction of an Arlington woman sent to death row for the starvation death of a 9-year-old boy who weighed 35 pounds.

Jurors at Lisa Ann Coleman's 2006 trial in Tarrant County heard testimony that Coleman beat, bound, neglected and starved Davontae Williams.

Coleman shared an apartment with the boy's mother, Marcella Williams. Williams subsequently pleaded guilty to avoid a death sentence and is serving a life prison term.

An autopsy determined the child had more than 250 scars on his body when emergency medical crews in July 2004 responded to a 911 call about a child having breathing difficulties.

The 34-year-old Coleman, one of 10 women on Texas death row, raised 21 claims of error from her trial. The court Wednesday rejected all of them.
