FRESNO, California (AP) -- More arrests are likely in a rape case involving an 11-year-old girl who may have been attacked by as many as 10 men, according to police.

Two arrests have been made in the Saturday attack, and officials said they have identified eight others as persons of interest. Most or all are students at either Fresno City College or Reedley College, police said.

The Fresno Bee reported that police were waiting for analysis of evidence, including DNA samples, before deciding whether to seek charges against six additional Fresno City College football players they had interviewed Sunday about the case.

FRESNO, CA (KNX) -- A Fresno County sheriff's spokesman said, a former community college football player charged in the sexual assault of an 11-year-old runaway was bailed out of jail.

Eddie James Scott posted $55,000 bail Monday. He and another nigger, Mackey Davis, were arrested July 8 and charged with lewd and lascivious conduct with a child an attack that police said involved as many as eight other men.

According to the girl, she was attacked while at the apartment rented by Scott and Davis, former Reedley College football players. Police say, more arrest may be made.

Scott, 19, and
Davis, 20, pleaded not guilty last week in Fresno County Superior Court.

Davis remained in jail Monday in lieu of $55,000 bail.

Watch the story The trial of 21-year-old Eddie Scott got underway Thursday morning with opening statements. Scott is accused of two sex crimes against an 11-year-old girl.

The alleged incident happened at a Fresno apartment in July 2006. Scott and fellow Reedley football player Macky Davis were arrested and charged with lewd acts on a person under 14 and oral copulation.

Davis accepted a plea deal. He is expected to testify during the trial. The prosecution says Davis used a cell phone to record video of the alleged victim performing a sex act on Scott, but the defense says the man in the short video is not Scott.

The trial will continue Friday.
