Julia Corker, the oldest daughter Sen. Bob Corker (R-Tenn.), was dragged out of her SUV near the Penn Quarter area Wednesday night and carjacked, according to Corker’s chief of staff, Todd Womack.

Two suspects were arrested by Prince George’s County officers after OnStar tracked down the 2005 Chevy Tahoe in Suitland.

Three police officers apprehended two suspects in the Addison Plaza Shopping Center around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday night. The two men were parked in front of a Taco Bell. They were arrested without incident, according to Sergeant Leroy Patterson of the Seat Pleasant Police Department in Prince George’s County. Corker and his daughter were able to identify the suspects around midnight Wednesday night at the Seat Pleasant police station.

Police have not released the identity of the two suspects.

WASHINGTON - Tennessee Senator Bob Corker is relieved his oldest daughter survived a carjacking in Penn Quarter Wednesday night relatively unscathed.

Julia Corker, 22, was sitting in her 2005 Chevy Tahoe at the corner of D and 7th streets NW -- two blocks from D.C. police headquarters -- about 9 p.m. when the two attackers moved in, according to a police report .

One attacker stopped her to ask, 'Where is Gallery Place?'; the other opened Corker's driver's side door, pulled her out, choked her when she resisted, and then threw her to the ground, the report states.

The attack was so violent, Corker briefly lost consciousness, waking just in time to see her SUV drive away, according to the report.

Corker was not seriously injured, but the attack "scared the living daylights out of her," Sen. Corker said in an interview with CNN.

"Our daughters are both very kind people and somebody that needed help, so she rolled the window down to help this person," Sen. Corker said. "Thankfully, she's fine. She's really sore."

Corker said his daughter "tried to kick away from the person who grabbed her by the neck," but she was unable to get free.

Sen. Corker's SUV sits in a police evidence garage.

Corker said his daughter was holding her cell phone at the time of the attack and immediately called for help. He was in a restaurant just a few blocks away. Sen. Corker also said a couple who encountered his daughter while walking down the sidewalk also assisted her.

Sen. Corker said his daughter recalled that the family has OnStar service through GM. Police were able to contact OnStar and track it to Central Avenue in Seat Pleasant, where both suspects were arrested by Seat Pleasant police without incident.

"It's a crime," said Seat Pleasant police Sgt. Leroy Patterson. "Your daughter, my daughter, a senator's daughter -- it's a crime and the officers did what they were supposed to do."

Corker and her father drove to the scene of the arrests about 12:15 p.m. The senator described the police agencies involved as "outstanding."

Law enforecement sources identified the two suspects as 25-year-old Steven Alston and 22-year-old Walden Conner. Both remain incarcerated in Prince George's County and face an extradition hearing Friday.

Carjacker Of Corker Daughter Was Wearing Dress

One of two men charged with carjacking the daughter of Senator Bob Corker was wearing a dress when arrested, a Washington TV station reported.

WNBC said 25-year-old Steven Alston and 22-year-old Dewalden Connors were taken into custody without incident at a Taco Bell in Seat Pleasant, Md.

They are awaiting extradition to Washington to face carjacking charges in the incident Wednesday night in which Julia Corker suffered minor injuries.

Alston was driving and Connors, who was wearing a black jacket and a black dress, was a passenger in the Corker SUV.

Carjack suspects will be extradited to D.C.

According to court records, Connor has a pending case on charges of soliciting an undercover police officer in October in the 600 block of New York Ave NE. Connor was dressed as a woman and went by the name of Gabrielle when he approached a male officer, the court papers said. Connor was awaiting placement in a court-ordered diversion program, the records show.

Alston is on probation after a 2006 conviction for unauthorized use of a vehicle and possession of marijuana.
