HOUSTON -- Houston police need help finding a man wanted in a sexual assault and his wife's disappearance, KPRC Local 2 reported Wednesday.

Investigators said Raven Ryon Lovings, 44, has been charged with sexual assault in an alleged rape of a 27-year-old at his home in the 7000 block of Conley Street on January 19.

Lovings' wife, Crystal Cashaw, has been missing since July 31, 2007.

Investigators said Cashaw
was handicapped and was being abused by Lovings.

Witnesses told police they saw Lovings tear down missing persons fliers.

Cashaw has not had any contact with her bank since her disappearance, police said.

HOUSTON -- A man wanted in connection with his wife's disappearance and the sexual assault of another woman has been arrested, police told KPRC Local 2 Thursday.

Houston police said Raven Ryon Lovings, 44, was arrested on Wednesday.

Lovings was wanted for questioning in the disappearance of his wife, 24-year-old Crystal Cashaw. She was last seen on July 31, 2007.

Police said that during questioning af
ter his arrest, Lovings told him that Cashaw was "alive" in his heart.

Investigators said Cashaw was mentally handicapped and was abused by Lovings. Police said Cashaw has not touched her bank account in nearly two years.

Witnesses told police that they have seen Lovings tear down fliers about Cashaw's disappearance.

Lovings was also wanted in connection with the rape of a 24-year-old woman at his home in the 7000 block of Conley Street on Jan. 19, police said. He has been charged with sexual assault in that case.

Lovings was booked into the Harris County Jail and had bond set at $20,000.
