Default Shakita Norman charged with child abuse

Quote:
KSDK -- An 18-year-old St. Louis woman has been charged for allegedly abusing her two-month-old son.

The St. Louis Circuit Attorney's Office issued warrants for abuse of a child and two counts of second-degree assault against Shakita Norman.

Between February 28 and March 2, authorities said Norman hit her son with her fist, squeezed his chest and struck the baby in the head by throwing a baby car seat. The child was taken to a hospital and diagnosed with a skull fracture and liver contusion. He also had bruising on his neck, back and chest.

Norman was arrested on March 8. She remains in jail on a $20,000 cash-only bond.
