Tulsa police have arrested a man in connection with the disappearance of a 13-year-old Union Alternative School student.

Online jail records indicate that Marquis Milton Bullock, 18, faces charges of first-degree murder and kidnapping.

Investigators believe he picked up Cori Baker, 13, after school on Friday afternoon.

Baker reportedly told friends that Bullock was going to take her to the mall to get a Christmas present for her sister.

Baker's family reported her missing after she failed to return home on Friday, and police say no one has seen her since that time.

Police documents obtained by 2 News indicate that detectives arrested Bullock after interviewing witnesses who said that he has a relationship with Baker's sister.

They also interviewed Bullock at length, and say he gave several conflicting statements about where he was and what clothing he wore on Friday.

The arrest report indicates that Bullock's description matches that of the man seen picking the girl up from school, and his vehicle -- a red Firebird -- was caught on tape at the school parking lot.

Police have released a photograph of the vehicle they hope people will remember seeing Cori Baker in that car.

They urge anyone who can help the investigation to call Crime Stoppers at 596-COPS (2267).

Cori Jessie Baker Detectives stress that they still have not found Cori Baker, and hope the public can help them track Bullock's movements over the last few days.

They have indicated that even without a body, they have a strong case against Bullock, including possible DNA evidence which has yet to be tested.

Despite the fact that the girl remains missing, prosecutors did file charges of kidnapping and homicide against Bullock Tuesday.

He remains jailed without bond on the murder complaint, as well as a $25,000 bond on the kidnapping complaint.

Police are now looking through abandoned houses, in the search for 13-year old Cori Baker.



At the same time, at least 200 people are searching various parks in the Tulsa area.

Volunteers met early Friday morning and went out with at least 20 teams.

Police are looking for a yellow Polo shirt with blue stripes that belongs to the suspect, Marquis Bullock.

Bullock is charged with Baker's death.

If nothing is found Friday, volunteers will search again Saturday morning.

After two days of unsuccessful searching, Cori Baker’s Coalburner oldest sister is speaking out. She has a message for the father of her Mulatto child who is also the beast accused of killing her sister. 19-year-old Courtney Baker has one message. And, her plea is to just one person.

"Marquis, if you are watching this, please, please tell me where my sister is. Please,”�”� said Courtney Baker, Cori’s sister.

Courtney Baker is the girl in the middle. Her baby sister is missing, presumed dead. Her boyfriend of three years and the father of her demi-coon child is in jail, accused of murder.

“My sister trusted him. My sister loved both of us to death. Our kid is her favorite," said Courtney Baker.

Courtney's 13-year-old sister, Cori, disappeared last Friday. Tulsa Police believe she got into a car with Courtney's boyfriend, Marquis Bullock, and she was never seen again. Courtney says when they started to suspect something had gone terribly wrong with Cori, it was Bullock who comforted her.

“And, for the fact that he could just come home and tell me, 'that everything is ok and we'll find her.' And act like he's comforting me when he knows deep down inside that he did it," said Courtney Baker, Cori’s sister.

Courtney Baker says she didn't believe it, at first, when her boyfriend became the suspect.

“He was telling me that he didn't do it. He would never hurt my sister. But, there's too much that they've shown me personally that it's him because I didn't believe it. I didn't want to believe it," said Courtney Baker, Cori’s sister.

Now Courtney just wants Marquis Bullock to come clean.

“Do you realize I can't write to you? I can't talk to you. And, I can't answer your phone calls, which means you will have nothing to do with your son anymore if you do not tell us where this body is,”�”� said Courtney Baker, Cori’s sister. “Please tell us. You've hurt me so much. Please let me go to sleep knowing that she's buried and not in the water, freezing cold.”�”�

Courtney says she doesn't believe Marquis Bullock has told the truth about the whereabouts of her sister's body. She says until he does, she won't talk to him.

If there is any justice, the BCL sister will have this on her conscience for the rest of her life and her parents will go to their grave bearing a burden of guilt as it was through their actions (or inactions) that this was allowed to happen.

But who knows, in that household with her older sister as a role-model, and parents that didn't care, perhaps 13 year-old Cori would have grown up to be a BCL herself.

Big Sister's Soul Man Charged With Murder - No Body Found Yet

A Tulsa man was charged with murder Thursday in a case involving a missing 13-year-old girl.

Marquis Milton Bullock, 18, was charged with one count of first-degree murder in the presumed death of Cori Baker, who was last seen leaving school Nov. 9 with a man matching Bullock's description and in a car matching the description of one owned by Bullock.

Volunteers, firefighters and police have conducted several extensive searches for Baker's body in Tulsa County and in Muskogee County near Taft, but were unable to find a body.

Bullock, the boyfriend of Baker's sister, has been held without charge in lieu of more than $1 million bond on complaints of kidnapping and first-degree murder since his Nov. 12 arrest. His initial appearance has been delayed twice as investigators and volunteers searched for Baker.

Bullock's initial appearance is scheduled for Friday. Without a charge being filed, a judge could have ordered him to be freed.

The last day Baker was seen, she told a teacher and friends at Union Alternative School that her older sister's boyfriend was picking her up from school that day, according to an arrest report. Witnesses reported seeing her get into a car matching the description of one owned by Bullock and driven by a person matching Bullock's description, the report states.

When Baker failed to come home that day, her father filed a missing persons report.

According to police, Bullock picked up Baker around 2 p.m. Baker's older sister told police that Bullock returned home around 3:30 p.m. missing a yellow polo shirt with blue horizontal stripes that he had been wearing when he went to pick Baker up.

Police later discovered a blood stain on the carpet of Bullock's red Pontiac Firebird, and blood stains on his shoes, the report states.

Police said Bullock made several inconsistent remarks about where he was when Baker went missing.

Although Baker's body has not been recovered, the evidence is sufficient to file charges, said Assistant District Attorney Bill Musseman.

"The effort to recover Cori Baker's body has not been successful as of yet," Musseman said. "However, the information and evidence presented to our office at this time is sufficient to establish probable cause for the filing."

Musseman said prosecutors probably will ask that Bullock be held without bond. Kidnapping charges were not filed because the information on the case did not support it, he said.

"The information we received so far doesn't establish that he took her forcefully," he said.

This was an eerily prophetic prediction by one of our old reporters and accurate to the letter. I hate to say it but NNN predicted the outcome this vile tragedy and sadly we're never wrong. The boon should be strung up pronto.

Authorities recovered more bones and some clothing today at and near a Creek County paintball facility where the skull of a 13-year-old girl was found.

Tulsa police officer Jason Willingham says about 100 searchers from various law enforcement agencies scoured the wooded area west of 49 West Avenue and north of the Creek Turnpike in search of more remains of Cori Baker.
